Book description:

A vicious fifteen-year-old droog is the central character of this 1963 classic. In Anthony Burgess's nightmare vision of the future, where the criminals take over after dark, the story is told by the central character, Alex, who talks in a brutal invented slang that brilliantly renders his and his friends' social pathology. A Clockwork Orange is a frightening fable about good and evil, and the meaning of human freedom. And when the state undertakes to reform Alex to "redeem" him, the novel asks, "At what cost?" This edition includes the controversial last chapter not published in the first edition and Burgess's introduction "A Clockwork Orange Resucked."

A Clockwork Orange Essay

Break, acquire broken, acquire made. What a glorious, free-wheeling testament to being human. All that could be said about this book has likely been said by those smarter than I. James Ugochukwu Un libro que no olvidaré , una historia que Te ata a seguir adelante Y no sólo a Sus letras. Pavlov'un tekniklerinin insan üzerinde qi etkisi, herkesin kendi çıkarını düşündüğü bir dünya, kendini arama çabası . Mutlaka okunmalı . Interesting and good written. However, Alex is non an empathic character. Even when the worst happens it seems he deserves his intervention, all the more so because he does n't understand that his intervention is the consequence of his ain actions. While the pickings of free will is a monstrous thing, it is more apprehensible when society is overrun by violent psychopaths. I hate this book. I HATE this book. This is the most pathetic carbon black of crap I 've of all time read. I get what it was seeking to state, I merely think it did a icky occupation stating it. I ne'er got used to the added linguistic communication in this book because it was merely absurd. In all honesty the words added made it sound like I was reading the worst childrens book of all time written. Women fundamentally exist in this universe to be raped. Men fundamentally exist in this universe to be violent and angry. The lone true spot is that people have the worst clip claiming duty for their ain actions and alternatively happen ways to fault something else. I read this at college and I truly liked acquiring my dentitions into another dystopian novel but besides one that I had ne'er come across before. Excellent work of fiction that rose to one of my favourites. To anyone sing reading the book, it is worth acquiring past the nadsat linguistic communication. It took me forever to understand what was traveling on in the first twosome of chapters but readers are able to rapidly pick it up and acquire a general thought of what is go oning. The book teaches an of import lesson on the value of free will despite people being able to take to make evil as oppose to being a automaton per Se. Besides, I enjoyed the narration of the foolhardy nature of adolescents and how finally people grow up. There is so much more that can be written about this book. SÅ jobbigt med alla låtsasord work forces fattar poängen... ... ... ... . sista kapitlet volt-ampere: / Alex is difficult to love. Surely this is a book with enormous sums of violent Acts of the Apostless. Decidedly in many scenes force is described with many inside informations. However, it is clearly that the purpose of the author is non to advance force. The chief supporter, Alex -and his droogs- , are aggressive adolescents who beat, colza, and kill on a day-to-day base. Very strong read. Glossary in back really helpful. Beautifully described force and fictioning the offset wake Quizás el guy que elige el mal Es en cierto modo mejor que aquel a quien Se lupus erythematosus impone EL bien. 3.5 It was hard to acquire into this book because of all the slang and the unsympathetic storyteller, but it is deserving it to maintain traveling to the terminal. Introduction Beautifully written, and thought arousing. Much like the film, merely more so. But you have to hum your ain music. This book was perfect, and the film is better, but with the book you finally figure out the puzzling rubric. ( I think. I thought it was ill. it changed my perceptual experience on offense, the human head and adolescent civilization. I perfectly adored it. • Unusual, fascinating narrative. A barbarous fifteen-year-old droog is the cardinal character of this 1963 authoritative, whose blunt panic was captured in Stanley Kubrick 's brilliant movie of the same rubric. Long on my to read list, this was one of the books with a large repute from my teenage old ages. I 'm still non truly certain why I ne'er got unit of ammunition to picking it up.
