This is truly a wonderful and unusual book on traditional cookery far from the urbanised centres of Japan. Gaku Homma is an Aikido maestro and an astonishing cook. This book was a labour of love forged from a desire to non allow the old traditional ways die. A really worthwhile book. The Folk Art of Nipponese Country Cooking: A Traditional Diet for Today 's World transcends the cookery book label.
